1. YOU might think this pub in Great Dunmow, Essex, looks pretty ordinary from the outside, especially as itʼs right on a main road.
But out the back is a huge beer garden with beautiful flower beds, loads of tables and chairs and what seems like acres of grass. A real gem. 2. THIS Oxfordshire pub has such friendly, attentive staff. And I much enjoyed the Butcombe Bitter.
3. The Crab Tree, West Sussex 4. The Pointer, Brill, Bucks

3. MY local in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. Iʼve had many excellent lunches there over the years. 4. A PUB combined with a restaurant... and a butcherʼs. They donʼt come much more unusual than this.
5. Pivni, York
6. The Dairymanʼs Daughter, Isle of Wight

5. I DONʼT know how anyone can walk by this pub without feeling the urge to go in. Itʼs very easy on the eye. 6. SURROUNDED by interesting shops and craftsmen, there is so much to do within a few steps of the bar
7. The Shore Inn, East Wittering, West Sussex 8. The Five Lamps, Derby

9. The Tower, St-Leonards-On-Sea 10. Malt Cross, Nottingham

10. ITʼS wonderfully decorated and has plenty of beers. Sit in the balcony and look down on the amazing bar area.
11. Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, North Yorks
12. The Court of Requests, Oldbury
