There is a wide variety of things to do when staying at The Kingham Plough. We are situated in the heart of The Cotswolds and there are many beautiful villages and market towns that are well worth visiting. The walking and sporting opportunities are many and we list a few ideas below. Daylesford Organic Farmshop: a supplier of organic meat and vegetables to The Kingham Plough, Daylesford Organic Farmshop is under a mile and an easy walk away.  Treat yourself to a bit of pampering in their Spa or to some delicious treats from their shop.

Villages and Market Towns: Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Burford, Cheltenham and, a little further away, Stratford-upon-Avon, are just a few ideas for both cultural and retail therapy.

Historic Houses and Gardens: National Trust properties in the area include Chastleton House, Hidcote Manor Gardens and Upton House and Gardens. Other places of interest include Batsford Arboretum, Blenheim Palace and The Rollright Stones. For children, Birdland at Bourton-on-the-Water and The Cotswold Farm Park with its rare breed farm animals are thoroughly recommended.

Walking: there are many delightful walks around the village of Kingham and further afield. Please ask at the bar for the loan of an Ordnance Survey Map.

Golf: there are a variety of beautiful courses nearby including The Wychwood and Chipping Norton Golf Clubs.
